Our Solar Panels
Introducing the Tindo Karra range – more than just another solar panel
At the heart of the Tindo Karra photo-voltaic module is brilliant technical and intelligent design fused with a range of innovative materials that make it the ultimate solar panel.
Our new Tindo Karra-410W PERC monocrystalline allows Tindo to fit more power into less space for a comparable price. The development and testing of this module has been in the making for some time now with the participation of a number of Australian universities and local collaboration.
Everybody should have a panel this advanced.
The Tindo Karra-410W PERC MONO solar panels are manufactured in Australia at our Mawson Lakes manufacturing facility. We openly invite industry and prospective clients to book a time to visit our factory to watch our panels being created.
You will love the Tindo Karra, the most beautiful solar panel … in the world.
We have designed and are manufacturing a module without compromise. Our partners are global solar industry leaders who zealously value their fine reputations. Tindo Solar is proud to be associated with them.
The Tindo Karra 410 W Mono PERC solar panel is a high voltage panel (rated to 1500V), utilises 10 Busbar technology, produced with larger M10 mono cells and the 40mm this frame makes it is easy to handle and install – an Australian solar panel made to last.
Our Promise
Tindo Karra solar modules give you a minimum of 25 years of long-term high performance thanks to Tindo Solar’s premium quality. Tindo’s performance has undisputedly outperformed our competition on durability hence we want “Australian Made” to stand for something!
After 10 years of production, Tindo’s installed module fleet failure rate is some 200 x lower than our competitors, hence why we have increased our product warranty from 12 to 25 years. Our warranty is exceptionally customer-friendly, easy to understand and offer long-term security.
Our Production Line
Tindo operates a state of the art 160MW capacity production line in Adelaide South Australia.
Our line is fully automated with a focus on quality control and sophisticated engineering.
Our Materials
All the materials used in the production of our Karra modules first undergo thorough testing to establish their suitability as a production material.
We subject glass, film and junction boxes to intense testing, individually and in combination with other materials and expose them to stress repeatedly.
We do everything a manufacturer can possibly do! Materials are tested mechanically, electrically, thermally and visually. This way, we can be certain that only the very best materials are used for our Karra solar modules
Produced utilising 10 Busbar technology
Why does the number of Busbars matter?
The higher number of busbars the shorter the distance between them, which in effect means lower internal resistance losses. The reduced distance between busbars also means the negative effect of any potential micro cracks in the cell is minimised.
Modules containing Multi busbar cells have increased long term reliability, increased all weather energy conversion efficiency and increased annual yield.
This means in real life conditions 10BB modules should perform better than the same output modules with fewer busbars.
New M10 Cells
M10 cells are the latest generation, large format solar cell. The larger M10 cell results in a higher percentage of the module surface being capable of power generation so more power for the same size module.
That means a more price competitive and reliable module than other multi-wire modules and a better-looking module with less back sheet showing.
40mm Frame Black Anodized Aluminium
Quality material means quality construction, always square and made to last.
It looks good from day one and will for its lifetime. No sharp corners and paint touched up in production
MC4-EVO 2 Staubli Connectors
We have also updated our traditional MC4 connectors on the Karra 410W module to MC4 EVO 2 Staubli connectors increasing the panels rating to 1500V making it ideal for both commercial and residential applications.
Suited for all climatic environments thanks to resistance to UV, ammonia, salt mist spray and high IP class (IP68).
Enphase Microinverters
We use Enphase micro inverters on our AC solar systems. Unlike traditional DC solar power inverters, the Enphase IQ microinverter system provides a complete AC solution that uses no high-voltage DC, ensuring a safe solar solution for your home. Other advantages of microinverter technology include more flexibility in system design, panel-level monitoring, and increased power production.
SolarEdge Inverters and Optimisers
The SolarEdge power optimiser is a DC/DC converter which is connected by installers to each solar panel, turning them into smart panels. The SolarEdge power optimisers increase energy output from PV systems by constantly tracking the maximum power point (MPPT) of each panel individually.
The SolarEdge DC-AC PV inverter is specifically designed to work with the SolarEdge power optimisers. Because MPPT and voltage management are handled separately for each module by the power optimiser, the inverter is only responsible for DC to AC inversion. Therefore, it is a less complicated, more cost effective, more reliable solar inverter with a standard 12 year warranty, extendable to 20 or 25 years.
Commitment to Quality
At Tindo we are committed to providing an Australian product that can be benchmarked against any panel in the world. We have taken extensive steps to ensure the quality and reliability of our panels. Tindo is Made for Life.
Electroluminescence Testing
Visual testing of the surface of solar panels does not provide adequate assurance of the quality of a module.
There are numerous defects in a solar cell for example:
• cracks caused during production or transportation of solar cells,
• fingerprints that were left behind on cells while printing the cell grid,
• micro cracks caused by heat stress while stringing,
• cracks caused by faulty handling in the module production line,
• defect contact point between ribbons and cells
All of these defects can cause substantial reduction of the quality of modules. Though modules may generate adequate output immediately after they have been produced, cracks can at a later point in time (even years later) be the reason for substantial output reductions or loss of production.
Tindo uses an Electroluminescence (EL) Tester on each panel that we produce. This provides a reliable quality control system for solar panels in which all defects are detected so you as the end consumer can be assured of output from your panels well into the future.
Flash Testing

Visual Inspection
- Inspection to ensure the there are no air bubbles or blisters in the lamination process
- Junction box has been sealed correctly to the back of the module.
- Framing has formed a water tight seal to protect the cells
