STEP UP!
Letter from Tindo Solar CEO
The Government Has To Act NOW
To our Country’s leaders and all proud Australians,
My name is Shayne Jaenisch. I am an ex-serviceman, Business Owner, and Business Coach. I serve as the CEO of Australia’s Only Solar Panel Manufacturer, TINDO SOLAR.
More importantly, I am also a father, husband, and family man.
These unprecedented times demand strong leadership. Today, tough decisions need to be made to protect our way of life. Being an ex-serviceman, I am very aware of the sacrifices our veterans made for us to have the lifestyle we enjoy.
Now, it is time for YOU to STEP UP!
Drought, bushfires, and cheap foreign products have hit our farmers in a devastating way.
Yet, they still continue to produce.
Our manufacturing industry has suffered because of cheap overseas imports.
Yet, they still continue to produce.
We cannot compete with low wages, and blatant disregard for quality and safety. Still, we continue to have manufacturing businesses excelling across different industries.
Tindo Solar is one of those companies. We have no Government protection against dumping of low-quality products. We don’t get any preference for selecting our product on Government Projects funded by taxpayers’ money (our money), and we have never received a single dollar in Government Grants.
My amazing team is still manufacturing Solar Panels right here, in South Australia. We don’t know whether we’ll have to shut down due to a pending Government lockdown.
Today, we started building a 6-million-dollar ‘state-of-the-art’ manufacturing plant. We won’t let confusing government policy intimidate us, and we won’t give into fear during these uncertain times. This is our way of supporting the Prime Minister in his attempt to keep the economy moving. Meanwhile, most of our overseas competitors announced stock shortages and price increases. Despite the weakening of the AUD$, our prices remain the same for our locally made products.
The government has to act now.
Take this opportunity to enact a “Buy Australia First and Only” policy. Make it possible for our farmers and other manufacturers to succeed here in our country.
If imports start again after the crisis, our success is going to be very short-lived. This isn’t about a bloody virus: this is about protecting our own future. We are protecting our kids, our future, and that of Australia.
We must do our part, and join the people risking their lives every day, fighting on the front line. Whether it is emergency services or the military, let’s show them that we aren’t turning our backs on them.
I challenge everyone that reads this message to share it and share it some more.
The only way we can protect what is ours is to enact a “Buy Australian Made” policy for all goods grown and made in our beautiful Australia. It’s not too late!
In the past we’ve trusted our mates on the front line, now more than ever we need to trust Australian manufacturers not just for their high quality but for the positive economic injection our Country needs. It’s time to STEP UP!
Truly and Sincerely,
Shayne Jaenisch
