SolarEdge’s range of highly efficient DC-coupled Batteries stores excess solar energy for powering homes and businesses when rates are high or at night. When installed with their Backup Interface, SolarEdge batteries provide reliable backup power during outages.
ENERGY SAVINGS
The amount that you can save will depend on how much electricity you generally use, what time of day you use electricity, how big your solar system is, whether you have a battery installed as well as environmental factors such as the sun coverage and the direction your panels face.
To gain maximum savings, solar energy should be used while it is being produced and the storage of surplus energy in a battery system allows consumers to avoid using the grid at peak times when electricity is more expensive.
Manufacturing
With over a decade of experience, in high-tech Australian manufacturing excellence, Tindo knows a thing or two about building great solar panels. The current (Karra 410w PERC MONO) module is the first to be created in Tindo’s purpose-built state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, commissioned in 2022.
Tindo is relentless in its commitment to quality and longevity, it’s a fact that each Tindo panel sold in Australia or exported overseas passes through no less than 27 quality control and testing checkpoints before it is released for sale. This thorough quality assurance framework not only sets our panels apart, it provides assurance to our customers that they are investing in a cleaner, greener future.
Electroluminescence Testing
Elevating quality control to an art form, Tindo strengthens its solar panel production with Electroluminescence (EL) Testing. Many imperfections concealed from the human eye can plague the solar panel manufacturing process, wreaking havoc on performance. From intricate cracks created during production or transportation to delicate fingerprints that linger during cell grid printing, Tindo leaves nothing to chance.
The journey through our production line sees panels meticulously scrutinized by the discerning eye of the EL Tester, unveiling hidden anomalies with precision. Panels deemed imperfect are removed from the manufacturing line, never sold to our discerning consumers.
Sun Simulation Testing
There are only 3 x Sun Simulator or Flash Testing machines in Australia, and you’ll find two of them in our factory at the very end of the production line. The sun simulation test is the final QA check and every panel we produce is tested here before being packed and shipped, ready for sale.
The sun simulation test simply exposes each panel to a flash of light from a xenon-filled arc lamp. The output spectrum of this lamp is as close to the spectrum of the sun as possible (hence the name).
An operator will read the results from this test to validate the panel is performing as rated to its specifications. The panel must test to a predetermined level to pass as an A-grade panel. Tindo has elected to only sell A-grade panels, anything less than perfect is not something we want to put our name on.
