About Tindo Solar
Acknowledgement of Country
We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land where we work and live. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We celebrate the stories, culture and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders of all communities who also work and live on this land.
Tindo = Sun
It is a word from the Kaurna Warra Aboriginal language which is the language of the peoples indigenous to the Adelaide plains on which our solar panel manufacturing plant is situated.
Tindo designs and manufactures technologically advanced solar panels in Australia, for Australia and the world. Tindo Solar is a wholly Australian owned and operated company founded in 2011 focused on increasing manufacturing output and creating Australian jobs in the advanced manufacturing sector.
At Tindo we have set out to make a panel that respects the sun and to make a panel that would deliver on its product and performance warranty. Tindo panels are Made for Life
Company Founding
Tindo Solar was founded in 2011 by Adrian Ferraretto, Richard Inwood and Ben Kerry. The three founders set up the solar photovoltaic (PV) company in Mawson Lakes, South Australia. To this day, Tindo Solar is Australia’s only solar panel manufacturer. Tindo Solar was officially opened by Prime Minister Julia Gillard in October 2012.
Our company is on trajectory to be a leader in the Australian solar industry, and our vision is to continue to expand our reach in Australia.

Tindo Solar Leadership

Glenn Morelli
Director
Glenn Morelli is our Director and owner of Tindo Solar. Glenn first started working at Cool or Cosy in 1994 as an Insulation Sales Consultant. After proving himself with his genuine and professional approach, Glenn was promoted to Sales Management in 2000. The sales department experienced significant growth in the following years under Glenn’s management style, of promoting an ethical and honest conduct with a customer first approach.
During 2007 after several years of success, the current owners were moving into retirement and like the old saying goes, “he liked the company so much he bought it!”. In 2017, Glenn purchased Tindo Solar, and with a background in solar installation proudly took over as the new owner. Glenn has expanded the manufacturing capability since taking over the business and is passionate about Tindo’s continued success.
